Industry insights from the exotic rental world

How CarRentalList works

CarRentalList is the largest independent directory of U.S. exotic and luxury car rental companies. We aggregate fleets from 218 independent operators across 9 states — Florida, California, Texas, New York, Nevada, Colorado, Georgia, Arizona, and Alaska — and surface them in one searchable database. We don't take bookings or charge fees. You contact the rental company directly using the phone, email, or website link on each listing, and your reservation runs on their normal terms.

Every listing is verified each month against the source rental company's website. If a vehicle disappears from the operator's fleet, it disappears from our directory within the next verification cycle. That's how we stay accurate when 224 different operators are rotating inventory. Last verification round, 1,978 of 2,127 listings were confirmed live (~93% coverage); the rest were either marked as removed or flagged for re-verification.

Pricing on each listing is the most recent daily rate the rental company published. Many operators show a starting rate ("from $1124/day") that varies by season, mileage, insurance tier, and event premium. Always confirm the final out-the-door price directly with the operator before booking. The average across all 2,127 vehicles is currently around $1124/day, but Lamborghini Huracáns commonly run $1,200–$2,500/day in major cities while a Mercedes G-Wagon can be had for $400–$800/day.

Looking for something specific? The vehicle directory lets you browse by make and model. The company directory ranks every operator by fleet size and Google rating. The monthly rankings report highlights the top 10 each month based on review volume and inventory growth. State pages (e.g. /florida, /california) include city-level breakdowns, average pricing, and the dominant brands by region.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Turo?

Turo is a peer-to-peer marketplace — individuals lend their personal cars and listings disappear when the owner gets a private booking. CarRentalList aggregates only commercial operators with insured fleets, written rental agreements, and consistent availability. Read the full comparison.

Do I book through CarRentalList?

No. We're a directory. Click into any company page to see their phone number, website, and email — you book with them directly. We don't add fees or take a cut.

What does it cost to rent a Lamborghini?

Daily rates for a Lamborghini Huracán typically run $1,200–$2,500 depending on city, season, and operator. The Urus SUV runs $1,000–$2,000/day. The flagship Aventador or Revuelto can be $3,000–$6,000/day. See full make-by-make pricing on the pricing guide.

Which states have the most exotic car rentals?

Florida (Miami especially) has the largest concentration with over 632 vehicles, followed by California (Los Angeles, Orange County) at ~218, and Nevada (Las Vegas) at ~54. New York, Texas, Georgia, and Arizona round out the top tier.

How often is data updated?

Vehicle availability is verified monthly. New companies are added quarterly. Pricing is refreshed when operators publish new rate sheets — typically every 2-3 months. Removed listings are flagged within 1-2 weeks of disappearing from the operator's website.
