What exotic rentals need that generic templates miss

  • Loss of use. A supercar in the body shop is weeks of lost bookings. Say what you charge per day while it is repaired.
  • Track days, shoots and events. Name them. "Prohibited use" that only says "racing" invites the argument.
  • Insurance the renter must carry. Card coverage rarely applies to exotics; say so before pickup, not after a claim.
  • A condition record with photos. Disputes are won at pickup. Schedule A sets the photo list both sides initial.
  • One fee table. Every fee in Schedule B and nowhere else. Hidden fees are the fastest way to a chargeback.
  • Tracking disclosure. If the car has GPS or a dash camera, the renter is told and initials it.

Questions

Is this car rental agreement template free to use?

Yes. Copy it, download it as a text file and adapt it to your business. It is a working draft, not legal advice: have a lawyer licensed in your state and your insurer review it before you use it with renters.

What should an exotic car rental agreement include?

Parties, the vehicle and its condition record, rental period and rates, eligible drivers and minimum age, security deposit and when it is released, mileage, permitted and prohibited use (racing, track days, shoots, events), insurance, damage and loss of use, tolls and tickets, delivery and return, late return and cancellation, tracking disclosure, governing law, and one fee table with every fee.

Can a renter use credit card insurance for an exotic car?

Usually not. Most card rental coverage excludes exotic, luxury and high-value vehicles. State in the agreement what coverage the renter must carry, and confirm the requirement with your insurer.

Which clauses depend on state law?

Security deposit handling, damage and loss-of-use charges, minimum age rules, liability limits, tracking devices and arbitration or venue clauses most often depend on the state. They are marked [REVIEW] in the template.

Can AI fill in this agreement for my company?

Yes. The free car-rental-agreement skill for Claude and Codex interviews you about your policies and drafts the agreement, a website terms summary and a checklist for your lawyer.
